Beth Taylor
Green Mountain Psychology PLLC was founded in 2020 by Elizabeth D.C. Taylor. She is passionate about the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults.
Taylor is a Licensed Psychologist-Master, Licensed School Psychologist, and a Diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology. She has built her career working with children and adolescents as their teacher, tutor, evaluator, therapist, psychologist, and school neuropsychologist.
After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and Psychology from the University of California, Davis, she spent years working in theater and youth theater in both California and Vermont. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vermont. Her master’s thesis examined factors affecting college students with Dyslexia.
Taylor earned her diplomate status at the American Board of School Neuropsychology in 2022 while practicing full-time at Green Mountain Psychology PLLC. She is currently working toward her doctorate in Applied Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. She expects to complete her dissertation in 2027.
Susanne Engels
Susanne grew up in Rutland, Vermont, and graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Shortly after, she moved to Maine to create and staff a self-contained program serving learning-disabled and emotionally disturbed students and worked closely with traumatized youth.
She eventually moved back to Vermont to earn her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Saint Michael’s College and a degree in Educational Leadership from Castleton University. In 1992, while maintaining a small private practice in Clinical Psychology, Susanne also worked in Rutland City Schools as a Psychologist for 18 years and then as a Principal for 13 years.
Susanne recently retired from full-time employment for the school district, and she continues to provide evaluations, consultation, training, and clinical supervision for local, state, and federal programs serving Vermont communities. Susanne serves on the Rutland Regional Medical Centers Patient and Family Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for the Wonderfeet Kids Museum.
